The entrance hall is a bright room with a handy seat, for when you need to get those walking boots on and off.

Living & Dining Area

The main living/dining area is two stories high and comes complete with original 19th century chapel features such as a minstrels’ gallery and beautiful arched windows, with views of Stiperstones village and the surrounding countryside.

A newer feature is a large cast iron wood burner. The Chapel is also fitted with oil fired central heating.

The Chapel has Broadband WiFi throughout. The living area is equipped television, Apple TV and a DVD player with small surround sound system and iPod dock, a selection of DVDs and comfortable seating for six guests, whilst the dining area seats eight comfortably on four chairs and the two original chapel pews.

The Minstrels' Gallery

This gallery space is a completely original feature of The Chapel and can be used as a separate cosy sitting area and by special arrangement as a double bedroom. With views over the balcony to the main lounge below and up the valley from the window this is a peaceful space to read and relax. Books, board games & jigsaws are kept here along with binoculars and a celestial telescope.

The Master Bedroom

The master bedroom has a luxuriously comfortable kingsize bed, a suite of matching furniture and a comfy chair. The room is fitted with two Velux skylight windows and is decorated with a subtle Venetian Theme.

The room is also equipped with a free-view television with built in DVD player, bedside lamps, radio alarm clock, iPad/iPod docking station and hair dryer.

The En-suite

The adjacent en-suite is equipped with a bath with hand shower and a shaver point. The en-suite is decorated with a Tunisian theme inspired by the blue doors of Sidi Bou Said.

The Twin Bedroom

This cosy room has two beautifully comfortable single beds a suite of matching furniture and an original arched chapel window and is decorated with a a subtle Egyptian theme. It is equipped with a free-view television with built-in DVD player, radio alarm clock (with iPod dock) and hair dryer.

The Small Double Bedroom

This room has a small double (4ft) bed, a suite of matching furniture and an original arched chapel window and is decorated with a theme of local natural history. The room is also equipped with a free-view television with built-in DVD player, radio alarm clock (with iPod Dock) and hair dryer.

The Kitchen

The Shropshire self catering holiday cottage has a small well very equipped kitchen with built-in double oven and four ring ceramic hob, a microwave, built-in dishwasher and refrigerator.
Plus all you will need for a spot of baking, including electric bread, doughnut, popcorn and rice makers.

The Utility Room

The utility room is fitted with washing machine, tumble dryer, full sized fridge freezer, ceiling mounted laundry airer and an iron & ironing board.

The Garden

With a choice of places to sit and eat or just sit and relax the cottage garden is terraced on two levels with a sloping rockery between. The top level is a flagged patio with a raised deck and seating area.

The lower terrace has a stepping stone pathway lined with a gravel bed and a recreation of the Stiperstones ridge line, that leads to the six seater luxury hot tub.

The garden is planed with a beautiful selection of hardy perennials against a background of the Chapels Virginia Creeper clad walls which change from rich green to deep red in the early autumn.

The hot tub has been provided to help you relax after a long day of walking, cycling or just the exhaustion of sitting reading by the fire. Let the tub’s water jets massage away your aches and cares.

There are views from the garden of the Chapel and from the hot tub, up the valley, across the village of Stiperstones, to nearby hills and across the Shropshire plain.

The garden is the perfect place for watching the night sky, with no street lighting in the area, the milky way is often seen as a colourful band of light across the sky, the included celestial telescope helps make for a remarkable evening under the stars.

Perkins Beach Dingle

The Lane outside the holiday cottage leads up the hill into the Stiperstones National Nature Reserve, bring sturdy shoes to explore the unspoilt scenery. More details about the walk to the top of the hill can be found on

Parking

There is parking at The Old Chapel for one car, but further parking is available free of charge at The Stiperstones Inn approximately 250 metres away. There is also a lockable bike shed for up to six bikes and bike cleaning facilities have been included.
